  • A SUMMER NIGHT'S MUSIC 2025

    An invitation to an evening of sizzling summer music performed by emerging, award winning artists from the ROYAL BIRMINGHAM CONSERVATOIRE

    The concert is in aid of the EMUK's campaigns to support the future of UK music and musicians as well as to call for the reinstatement of the ERASMUS + scheme, cancelled after Brexit, which enabled students to study in Europe and other countries for up to 12 month

    It will feature the VAGABUNDO PIANO TRIO comprising French violinist, Luanah Lefebvre, Chinese cellist, Gen Li, and Spanish pianist, Maria Linares. 

    And the OTIUM SAXOPHONE QUARTET featuring Florence Ryan (Soprano saxophone), Hannah Kermode (Alto saxophone),  Evie Cooper (Tenor saxophone), and Tom Winter (Baritone saxophone).

    Concert admission is FREE but by ticket only available from TicketTailor where you can also find full details of this live event.

    The Hall at Holy Trinity Parish Centre is just across the road from ‘Shakespeare’s church’ and a 10 minute walk from the centre of Stratford.

    For those travelling by car there is parking on the roads by the Centre or the Centre is only a short walk from the main car parks in Stratford.

  • EMWL WALK :FRENCH CONNECTIONS

    An EMWL walk in the footsteps of the French in London. Sunday, 1st June. 

    They came as conquerors, dynastic brides, refugees, dissidents, and de Gaulle’s Free French compatriots, as migrants, expats, students and tourists. Visit French links to London over the centuries. The walk will take us around key sites in Westminster, starting near the Strand and ending in Soho.

     

    Numbers will be limited, so please contact [email protected] for details, to let us know you’d like to join. A £5 donation to EM West London is welcome.  Duration is 2 ½ hours with a possible break. As with any London walk,the route will involve some narrow and uneven pavements. For anyone preferring a shorter walk, it’s not a problem to peel off at any point.

  • Flags in the Wind - Hereford screening

    At the request of Herefordshire for Europe, St Peter's & St James' Joint Ukrainian Project will show the film at St Peter's Church as part of its Monday Evening Ukrainian Support Sessions. Sandra Zhukova, SPSJ Joint Ukrainian Project Lead, has seen the trailer and says it sounds like a powerful and meaningful film. The documentary will be very important for our Ukrainian community here in Hereford, especially for those who have fled the war.

    St Peter's has two large TV screens and high-quality sound. The Joint Ukrainian Project will advertise the event in its mailing list to encourage attendance from the local Ukrainian community and supporters. Herefordshire for Europe will do likewise.

    The film is 25 minutes long, followed by tea, coffee, refreshments, and conversation.
