NOTE: THIS EVENT HAS NOW EXPIRED

Due to the coronavirus we are asking everyone to check with the individual event organisers that the event you're wanting to attend is still going ahead.

Hello fellow Europeans

Spring is on us, the sun is shining, the lockdown is easing and Europe Day is just around the corner!  We’d love to see you at our Covid compliant picnic in Nottingham’s beautiful Arboretum.

Bring a picnic (sadly we can’t share right now), something to sit on, some sun screen lotion, and your beautiful selves, and maybe a flag.  Our picnic last year was a great success and it was lovely to meet old friends and make new ones.  As we move forward in our changed reality it is so important that we feel connected and renew ourselves with positive thoughts.  If you have followed our new Chair, Andrew Adonis, then you will be familiar with the brick by brick idea.  This plays in another way too - together we are stronger.

The park is sensibly sized and very accessible by train, bus and car. Check out the link below.

We are meeting at 12.00, in the vicinity of the Bandstand and carrying on until 2pm (maybe until 4pm if the weather is kind).  Look for our flags, especially the extra large Italian one!
This is an informal get together, so there’s no agenda or anything like that!  We will be observing social distancing though and bringing our own food.

Obviously, there's a risk that the weather will be sunny and fine. Do check our website at https://nottsforeurope.co.uk/ or Facebook https://www.facebook.com/nottsforeurope or call / text me (Lorenzo) on 07884492389 the night before for final confirmation as to going ahead or not.

Travel Directions
Tram stop at Notts High School, or Trent University. Then a short walk.
If you are driving then park at Forest Park and Ride, the Arboretum is half a km away or one stop on the Tram.  If you’re lucky you may even be able to find on street parking next to the park!

Check out this link - combine your trip to Notts with a bit of a walk round the park!
