NOTE: THIS EVENT HAS NOW EXPIRED
Due to the coronavirus we are asking everyone to check with the individual event organisers that the event you're wanting to attend is still going ahead.
On Sunday 1st October, the Tory Conference arrives in Manchester.
The objective of the event is to engage with Manchester’s voters and residents and demonstrate their ongoing support for continued EU membership.
We will show the Tories that there is #NoMandate for a destructive Brexit and that #NoBrexitIsBetterThanABadBrexit. To this end, we are hosting our very own #StopBrexit Rally, followed by a Street Party, in Cathedral Gardens, Corporation Street M4 3BG in the city centre and close to Victoria station.
The proposed line-up of speakers will include high-profile Conservative Party politicians and intends to provide them with a platform from which they can voice their continued support for EU membership, since they will not be granted one inside the Conservative Party Conference. Current confirmed speakers are Jolyon Maugham QC, Julie Ward MEP and Chair of the European Movement UK Stephen Dorrell MP
Add to that EU themed street stalls, live music and entertainment, and plenty of other opportunities for people to join the cause to #StopBrexit. This event will promote our message to huge numbers of people and the press, as well as celebrating the Remain movement and our solidarity with the EU.
