Musicians like Sophia, and other creatives, now face lots of red tape and barriers to perform in the EU, as do EU musicians wishing to perform in the UK. For UK musicians, different paperwork and permits are required for each different EU country, and all equipment is subject to checks at each border, and the same goes for their crew. This will add significant costs for touring musicians, and make it a pipe dream for many acts to tour the EU, especially for emerging talents. The music industry is worth £5.8 billion to the UK economy each year, sustaining more than 100,000 jobs - we must remove these barriers and red tape.
