Completely against leaving the EU. Married to an EU citizen, German, live partly in France and the UK, whilst often visiting her ageing parents. Why would we wish to strip ourselves of rights we currently enjoy? Why would we wish to give up reciprocal health care coverage, freedom of movement for both of us, RIGHTS to stay where and when we wish in any respective place of interest or requiement, within the EU?
More than the personal, as someone who had an international business career, prospects of putting up barriers to business seems absurd. We can currently do business unhindered, cover clients easily all over the EU, ~ 50% of our trade. To replace with hinderances, for what? To do great trade deals with Trump’s transactional US first approach, China with issues there, India with its own requirements, Mercosur, where the EU already has a trade deal, Japan, the same, Canada the same. All for what? We are not living now in the 19C, where these trade considerations were then prevalent. No needs reminding, our global stance was somewhat different in those distant days to today.
Immigration. We need EU skills and talents. Look at the NHS, where shortages are already acute. Control of this, we have had complete p control of non EU immigration, but this has not been well managed; this is a complete home grown home office own goal I suggest.
