Annual General Meeting 2025

The AGM of the European Movement UK is taking place on Saturday 15 November 2025 at 1:00pm.

All paid up members of EMUK are welcome to atend, and should register via the link on this page during the registration window in order to confirm their attendance.

At the meeting you will hear from the Chair and other officers on the state of the movement - including campaign updates, finances, a report by the CEO, and more. You will also have a chance to ask questions to the officers and CEO, and to hear more about the next steps of our movement.

Voting will take place during the AGM on any valid motions submitted before the deadline.

The meeting will be held in a hybrid format, via Zoom, the online meeting software, or a similar service and in-person in Oxford. European Movement UK members will receive an invitation by email to register for the meeting in their chosen format.

All European Movement UK members may register for and attend the Annual General Meeting. All those eligible to attend the meeting have been contacted by email, with a link to register online for the meeting.

Only members whose membership has been active since the deadline may vote in AGM proceedings.

Members who have opted out of email communications, or whose email address is not receiving our emails for another reason, may still sign up for the AGM by following the links on this page during the registration window.

Registration for the Annual General Meeting will be available via a link at the top of this page during the registration window. Members who register successfully for the Annual General Meeting will be contacted by email confirming their registration, and will receive a follow up e-mail with information about how to attend in person or how to join virtually well in advance of the meeting.

Attendees will join a webinar via Zoom (or a similar service) at 1pm on Saturday 15th November 2025, or in-person, and the meeting will proceed according to the agenda.

The final agenda will be published according to the timetable above. The link to join the meeting online and the means to participate in the Annual General Meeting votes online will be circulated to all registered attendees by email no later than 5pm on Friday 14th November 2025.

Items for discussion and decision may be tabled for the Annual General Meeting via a link which will be available on this page during the submission window.

Members can table items for the agenda of the Annual General Meeting.

Resolutions proposed by individual members must specify the names of the proposer and the seconder, both of whom must be current members of the Movement.

Resolutions may also be submitted collectively by a branch or local group, the EMUK Council, the EM Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland Councils, and any affiliated section of the Movement; in these cases no seconder is required.

All resolutions must be submitted by the deadline specified on this page.

Voting will take place via two methods at this year's AGM. Some votes will be via a simple (online and in person) show of hands and some will take place electronically, depending on the requirements of each vote.

All members who have registered to attend the AGM, and who are eligible to vote in AGM proceedings, including proxies will be sent a link to access the online voting platform no later than 24 hours before the start of the AGM for any votes that will be taking place electronically. The portal will contain information about the elections and other votes that will take place during the AGM.

To assist with the voting process, members attending the AGM in person should bring a smartphone or other electronic device with them to the meeting. Those who do not have access to a suitable device, or who are unable to use one on the day due to accessibility reasons, can speak to a member of European Movement staff who will assist them with the process.

Full information will be sent to those registered to attend in advance of the meeting, once candidates for any competitive elections are known.

The European Movement UK is committed to making our online meetings as accessible as possible, and we will make reasonable adjustments to meet this objective.

We will ensure there are frequent and regular breaks, and it is our intention that the online meeting will have full closed captioning.

The venue in which the AGM will take place is fully accessible, including having a dedicated accessible entrance, lifts, and no steps between the entrance and room. The room in which the meeting is taking place is flat and has sufficient space for wheelchairs.

In addition, members of staff will be available during the physical event to assist those who do not have access to an electronic device for any votes that will take place during the AGM.
