Supporting Women in Tech Careers and Startups
Femme Forward is an Erasmus+ funded project that aims to increase female representation in digital jobs and start-up businesses.
The project delivers a training programme to women from various backgrounds that empowers them to either start their own tech business or pass qualifications so that they can work in new emerging tech jobs.
This Erasmus+ programme is designed to help women at all levels of their professional development. Femme Forward has helped migrants to the EU whose qualifications are not recognised in Europe. It has supported women who want to change careers and improve job prospects while also supporting young non-tech graduates who want to build a career in new tech.
Femme Forward has also helped women with new tech business ideas make them a reality and supported women re-enter or restart their career after maternity.

Helping prisoners reintegrate with blended learning
Blended Learning Environments are a collection of games, digital tools, and resources that help people improve their education. Blended Learning Environment for European Prisoners is an Erasmus+ funded project that aims to use these techniques to help prisoners improve their skills and reintegrate into society.
The project brought together prison educators to share best practices and create a blended learning experience specifically designed for prisoners and people reintegrating into society.
It has led to successful reintegration of ex-prisoners into society. Blended Learning can now be used in prisons to deliver relevant education to people with limited education and digital access.

The project aims to give students understanding of complex environmental issues and support the development of their ability to think critically and action change in their own lives to meet sustainability goals.

Study Placements for University Students
An important part of the Erasmus+ programme is the opportunity for students to study abroad as part of their degree.
Students can study in another country that is a member of the Erasmus+ scheme for between 2 to 12 months as part of their degree studies. Some short-term opportunities offer 5-30 daycourses meaning there are flexible options for people who want to experience what it is like to study in another country.
In 2022 over 1.2 million people took part in mobility schemes like student exchange programmes. These programmes give people new cultural experiences, they meet people from different backgrounds, and they open themselves to new perspectives.
