The Council
The Movement’s Council brings together the Board with around 100 representatives elected by our grassroots activists and members throughout the UK. The Council debates and discusses topical political developments, determines the Movement’s responses, formulates public policy between General Meetings and discusses campaigning and communications strategy. It appoints one or more Conveners to help steer its agenda and activities.
The Council comprises the 20 members of the Board plus elected representatives, as follows:
Some members of the Council are elected to represent members of the European Movement in a specific nation or region of the UK, while some are elected to represent either our branches or our members on a national level.
Where a member is elected to represent a specific nation or region, or to represent branches, that information is shown alongside their name.
