We have tried to answer some of the most frequently asked questions members have about the General Meeting process. Please click on any of the questions to read the answers.
The European Movement UK is holding a special General Meeting on 11th September 2021 at 1pm. Registration closed at 11.59pm on Sunday 5th September.
The special General Meeting is a meeting open to all members of the European Movement UK. Our General Meetings determine the policies of the movement and the conduct of the movement’s general affairs.
The meeting was called by the Executive Committee of the European Movement UK in accordance with our constitution (Articles 6.5 and 6.10).
The meeting will update members on the European Movement UK’s campaigns, and will discuss and vote on a revised constitution proposed by the Executive Committee. It will also discuss other items tabled by members.
The meeting will be held using Zoom webinar, the online meeting software. European Movement UK members have received an invitation by email to register online for the meeting.
All European Movement UK members in good standing (not lapsed or in grace) may register for and attend the special General Meeting. All those eligible to attend the meeting have been contacted by email, with a link to register online for the meeting.
Members who have opted out of email communications, or whose email address is not receiving our emails for another reason, were sent an invitation by post.
Registration for the special General Meeting closed on Sunday 5th September at 11.59pm. Members who registered successfully for the special General Meeting have been contacted by email confirming their registration.

The special General Meeting will be held using a Zoom webinar. Remember, members must register for the special General Meeting no later than 11.59pm on Sunday 5th September.
Attendees will join a Zoom webinar at 1pm on Saturday 11th September 2021, and the meeting will proceed according to the agenda.
The final agenda has been published and can be accessed here. The link to join the meeting online and the means to participate in the special General Meeting votes online will be circulated to all registered attendees by email no later than 5pm on Wednesday 8th September 2021.

No - our Annual General Meeting will take place later in the year. It is scheduled for Saturday 27th November 2021.
This special General Meeting has been called so that any changes to the constitution can be made in time, so they are in place for the Annual General Meeting in November.
