The European Movement has appointed Pablo O’Hana of Apostrophe Campaigns to lead its strategic communications. It forms part of a major transformation and investment in the campaign’s new direction, which will begin to take effect from 4th October 2021.
Through Apostrophe Campaigns, Pablo has worked with some of the country’s most senior public figures, including former Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, Tim Farron and Vince Cable and Britain's most beloved and acclaimed talents including Billie Piper, Kate Garraway and Hugh Bonneville.
Across the Atlantic, he helped develop a winning strategy that elected America’s first-ever woman of colour to state-wide office and as part of his time in Government, he transformed the THINK! Road Safety campaign into one of the most successful behavioural change campaigns of the last decade.
Pablo O’Hana said:
“Apostrophe Campaigns has a track record of combining fresh creative and innovative communications to deliver a transformative approach to political marketing campaigns.
“We are proud to have contributed to a number of successful and historic results across the UK, Ireland, Europe and the US which have advanced equal rights, secured progressive victories and improved access to healthcare.
“The European Movement is a campaign that truly matches with our values and ambitions to bring internationalism to Britons wherever they may be living.
“We couldn’t be more excited to be working with the European Movement as they take the next steps to a closer UK and EU relationship.”
Anna Bird, CEO of European Movement, said:
“I’m excited to welcome Pablo O’Hana to our growing team, to lead European Movement’s strategic communications. He brings an impressive track record of political and public sector campaigns that inspire debate and shift opinion, which is exactly what we need to do if we are to build back our relationship with the rest of Europe.
Pablo’s appointment is part of wider investment in our campaigning firepower, as our movement goes from strength to strength.”
