Support the bill for a UK-EU Youth Mobility Scheme

Category
Youth Mobility

On Wednesday, 15th January, we have a golden opportunity to push for an expanded youth mobility scheme between the UK and EU.

When we left the European Union, we lost our rights to live, work, and move freely through Europe. But negotiating a youth mobility scheme with the EU is important to restore those rights.

As such, we are working to support the Liberal Democrats' Spokesperson on Europe, James MacCleary MP, who has secured a Ten Minute Rule Bill in the House of Commons. The bill James is taking forward is calling for an expanded youth mobility scheme between the UK and EU.

We are asking supporters to lobby their MP, asking them to attend the session on Wednesday - will you tell your MP to attend the debate and support the bill?

A Ten Minute Rule Bill, presented in the House of Commons after question time on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, is a way of introducing a bill's first reading.

This is why we are supporting James in making this an opportunity to start a serious, grown-up debate on restoring and improving opportunities for young people to live and work in Europe.

Ask your MP to contribute to the debate and support the campaign to extend youth mobility.
